Living this way simplifies your life because it eliminates questions of right and wrong. It gives you the grace to ignore unfairness and to bear unkindness. It cause you to give up hatred and jealousy. It helps you to forgive. When you do these things, you show the depth of your love for God, which pleases Him.

Live all the days of your life in such a way that brings pleasure to the heart of God.

You see, the Bible is the most powerful book ever written. And as important and powerful as it is, it is God's letter written to you - and He wants you to read it. The Bible is not simply a book with paper and ink, but within it lies power, strength, and truth. As you the Bible for yourself, it will come to life and cause you to be the person God wants you to be.

Take some time every day to read the Bible, because as you do, it will produce the life, joy, and peace that God wants all His children to have

As you trust Jesus, you will be able to become more like Him. The Holy Spirit gives you strength to overcome every obstacle of sin, defeat, and discouragement. He gives us power to be good, to speak kind words, and to love others. He will help you honor God with your words, your attitude, and your relationships. Remember, He is always by your side.

Everyone needs help in order to grow as a Christian. Becoming more like Jesus takes wisdom, stability, and love way beyond our ability. The Bible tells us how we should live - but instructions alone are not enough.

 

When you first tried to ride a bicycle, no one expected you to do it simply by reading the instruction manual. You needed someone to help you. Maybe your father showed you how everything worked. Watching him ride made it look simple, but when you tried imitating him, you lost control and fell, then became discouraged.

 

What really made a difference was when he came alongside and helped you stay balamced. He placed you on the bicycle and held it steady. As you picked up speed, he kept you from losing control by placing his hand firmly on the seat and running alongside you - encouraging, correcting, and supporting you as you gained confidence.

 

This is true of the Christian life too. Jesus said He would not leave us alone as orphans. He knew we needed help, so He sent us a Helper - the Holy Spirit. He is like the father who comes alongside, and His presence enables us to do what we cannot do alone.

We are Jesus' modern-day disciples. There is still time to grow the kingdom. The Lord will make the divine appointments. We just need to show up, reach out, and open up - Jesus will do the rest.

We can have hope because God is guiding us with a loving hand. Even when we suffer, there is a purpose to the suffering. The hardships are there for a reason. And when we understand that God is behind them, contentment can be ours. They are only temporary. We're going to a better place. That's the big picture - God's big picture!

There are many temptations in the world and many opportunities to stray from God. But remember, you don't have to compromise in order to belong - for you are a part of the body of Christ.

Have you ever feared that someone would stop loving you? Not only have I feared it, I've experienced it! God has carefully and graciously allowed some of my fears to come true so that I would discover that I would not disintergrate. God taught me to survive on His unfailing love. It wasn't fun, but it was transforming.

The only thing I absolutely could not survive is the loss of God's love, and that is the loss I will never have to endure. His love "endures forever".

Jesus promised His disciples that after His death, He would send them a Comforter and a Guide. As a child of God, He has put His Holy Spirit inside you. As you read God's Word, He makes it come alive. It might be a verse you have read dozens of time before, but at a time you need it most, the Holy Spirit will make it jump off the page.

 

Wisdom is yours for the taking. Honor God, meditate on His Word, and obey whatever He asks you to do. And as you read the Bible, invite the Holy Spirit to guide you daily into all truth.

God wants to change us to the point where we see Christ when we look at our lives. He is transforming us one step at a time. Every little opportunity to display His glory, every little bump in the road of life, equals an opportunity to change.

God didn't drop down into your life, forgive you, save you, and move on to someone else. He came to stay. He started something, and He's not stopping it until the very last day that you're on this earth.

Love is something we can't see, but we can see the evidence of love in the action it produces, which is giving. You can give without loving, but you can't love without giving. When you love you will give of your time, you will give of yourself, and you will give of your resources. Those who truly love, hold nothing back. The measure of your giving reveals the measure of your love.

If you love someone you will also give them forgiveness. Love causes you to be merciful, understanding, and forgiving.

There are many people in each of our lives who need and deserve our love. Jesus Christ is the most deserving of all!

Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.

We step right out with recognition of God in some things, then self-consideration enters our lives and down we go. If you are truly recognizing your Lord, you have no business being concerned about how and where He engineers your circumstances. The things surrounding you are real, but when you look at them, you are immediately overwhelmed, and even unable to recognize Jesus. Let your actual circumstances be what they may, but keep recognizing Jesus, maintaining complete reliance upon Him.

For those of us who have been rescued by Jesus, the best world is yet to come. The world where comfort and peace will reign in unhindered joy forever! And in that day, God will make all things new and show us how all things worked together for good. Let's stop blaming God for Satan's evil schemes and start praising God that in the end justice will be done, questions will be answered, and God's glory will be vindicated!

Jesus said to ask and this is one of the secrets of life. It works with God and it works in our relationships with people, too. Many people stumble through life disappointed that God has not given them more. One reason may be because God is waiting for them to have enough faith to ask Him for His help. I don't mean we should act like a beggar. But be bold in asking for what you need or desire.

We may hold back from asking because we think we don't deserve good things. Probably true! But Jesus deserves good and He died so we could receive what He deserves. Jesus took what we deserved so we could have better.

God is helping me understand being guided by the inner witness, which is a knowing communicated by the Holy Spirit to our spirit. We must always remember that the Holy Spirit will never lead us to do anything that is not in line with God's written Word, the Bible. God has a plan for guiding His children in all the questions of life, through the witness of the spirit - "peace".

As a child of God in union with Jesus Christ, you have authority over every work of the enemy and everything that would harm you. Because you have been given authority, you have to use it.

You are supposed to choose what you allow in your life. But most of us, out of ignorance, thought our only choice was to just accept whatever happened. We didn't know any better. But now we are learning. So we can make new choices, and see better results.

So brothers and sisters in Christ, speak directly to your problems and tell them what to do because God gave you authority through Jesus Christ.

When the foundations are shaking and you wish you could hide, remember that God is still in control. His power is not diminished by any turn of events. Nothing happens without His knowledge and permission. When you feel like running away, run to God. He will restore justice and goodness on the earth in His good time.

The shepherd knows that the sheep must remain close to Him if it is to be protected from danger. So he breaks the leg - not to hurt it but to restore it.

Through our losses, He can use us for greater purposes and bring Himself greater glory.

He never asks us to do something we cannot do.
